Education software maker Blackboard approached us to create a motion graphic depicting the changing state of education. The video was to focus on today's students — active learners — who no longer passively wait in a classroom to be taught but rather seek out information on their own. Although told from the perspective of a student, we incorporated data that appealed to various audiences within the educational community - including faculty and administration. In the end, the piece directs the viewer to "keep up" with the current pace of education today. The video kicked off Blackboard CEO Michael Chasen's keynote address at the annual BbWorld Conference held in New Orleans.
